Last week, we talked about walking out into a new season God has called us after our time in the desert. It should be no shocker that when God calls us to do something for His Glory, the enemy is waiting for us to make our move. We shouldn’t be surprised when the enemy attacks us in this obedience.
The image of a knight comes to mind. In medieval days, soldiers would be shut up in the safety of the castle. They donned their armor to venture outside the castle walls to face their enemy. It did not surprise them that as soon as they stepped foot outside the safety of the castle, they were attacked with arrows from the enemy. They were prepared. We should be too.
The enemy does not want us to succeed. That is why we must stand firm to not be swayed or overcome by Satan’s schemes. Oftentimes, I think we as Christians think that if God calls us to do something, that it should be easy. He never promises easy. He promises He will be with you.
